Site 7

Completed in October 2007 the innovative building on Site 7 is striking to look at and has set a new benchmark in energy-efficient design.

The ground floor of the larger part of the ‘L’ is five metres high and built entirely of glass. This allows views through the building out to the sea and into the sheltered plaza on the other side.

The ‘L’-shape was designed to create the sheltered Kumutoto Plaza.

Meridian Energy and unique retail

The upper levels of this building houses Meridian Energy's Corporate Office, while Wellington Waterfront Ltd holds the head lease over the ground floor which houses Mojo Coffee, Wagamama, and East by West Ferries.

Sustainable Design

The building at Site 7 is one of New Zealand's 'greenest' commercial building, built using environmentally sustainable design principles and holding a 5-star 'green' rating from the NZ Green Building Council.
