The former Union Steamship Company building was the first development included in the Master Plan for Kumutoto.

The building was moved next to the Fronde Harbourside Centre from its original Greta Point home and renamed Steamship Wharf.

It houses a combination of restaurants, bars and function facilities.  Two of New Zealand’s hospitality success stories, The Loaded Hog bar & restaurant and One Red Dog pizza restaurant, both have homes in Steamship Wharf alongside Hugos boutique bar. 

Steamship Wharf also features conference/function facilities that are available for hire in the upper level.
