Skateboard Park, climbing walls, streetball court and aerosol art wall

One of the most popular features of Waitangi Park’s activity zone is the skateboard park.

Designed by a skate park design specialist and Wellington's skaters, the skate park features a world class skate bowl, skateable furniture, 2 half-pipes, fun boxes and grinds and spectator platform to catch all the action.

In this youth-oriented segment of the Activity Zone climbing walls are also a feature and there's a street ball court for basketball – or whatever court sport takes your fancy.

Places for aerosol artists to give expression to their urban creativity have been incorporated into the design of this part of the Activity Zone. The art walls combine to provide a permanent outdoor gallery for some of the city's talented youth to present an ever changing exhibition of their art.
