The Royal Port Nicholson Yacht Club offers a variety of sail training courses, some of which are detailed below.
Each course is composed of both theory and practical sessions.
Boats provided for courses are: 8.2 metre Keelboats, Optimists for WBBC junior courses and Sunbursts for WBBC senior courses. Musto Wet weather clothing is also provided for RPNYC keelboat courses

School Programmes

The Sailing Academy has made a commitment to developing a sailing programme specifically for schools by employing one of its Senior Sailing Instructors as a Schools Programme Co-ordinator.
The Academy has the flexibility to work with individual schools to develop options to best meet your requirements.
The aim of the school programme is to introduce the sport of sailing into schools by offering a variety of sailing options such as:
- Taster Sail
- 6th form module - Put the Fun into Physics
- Team Building
- Day Skipper Assessment Certificate (Coastguard course - unit standard 6915)
- Introductory courses
- Intro Plus course
Sail training is conducted in two purpose built Muir 8.2m keelboats berthed at the door.
