The Environment Court has decided not to uphold the resource consent granted by the Greater Wellington Regional Council in September 2006 for the building of a Hilton Hotel on the northern arm of the Outer-T at Queens Wharf.

“Obviously, having been long-time advocates for this development, we are disappointed that the resource consent has not been upheld” says Ian Pike, Chief Executive of Wellington Waterfront Limited.  “However, the decision was arrived after due regulatory processes had been carried out. We will now move to investigate alternative solutions for the Shed 1 site”.
